•Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Oracle database environment (perform backups, recoveries, installations, and security)
•Troubleshoot database problems and provide corrective action within an appropriate period of time
•Database performance tuning, and tuning application
•Monitor capacity and performance and proactively resolve problems
•Performs SQL tuning with development teams
•Working to ensure that server and application security and integrity are maintained
