1. Ensure the safety of all swimmers, guests, and health club members using the recreational facilities.
2. Ensure that the pool is ready to open on time.
3. Ensure that all mechanical functions run smoothly, report to engineering if necessary.
4. Ensure that all reports are kept up-to-date; make sure that all guards have current certifications needed to operate the swimming pool.
5. Maintain an accurate log on all chemical readings; take tests every two hours on the hour.
6. Hire lifeguards/attendants, train new staff.
7. Schedule lifeguards to ensure proper pool coverage during hours of operation.
8. Maintain a well-stocked first aid kit, train lifeguards in proper hotel accident procedures.
9. Maintain accurate inventories of all supplies and chemicals and turn in reports at the end of each period.
10. Maintain up-to-date certification in pool operation and in CPR.
11. Each associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performing.
