He will be responsible of managing the implementation of security policy & procedure to ensure protection of people, property, information & reputation. An employee in a position allocated to this class is responsible for leading, ensuring compliance with policy & procedure, supervising, inspecting and training personnel & contracted security officers during an assigned shift, and for ensuring that all assignment, post and incident procedures established are carried out effectively. Work is to be accomplished by touring various locations, visiting and inspecting all security posts, meeting personnel and conducting awareness sessions. Work is reviewed through daily oral and written reports, and by observation of operational
*Duties:
• Monitors daily activities of subordinates at all designated locations where employed, to ensure that established procedures are being followed.
• Supervises contractor activity and certifies correctness of tools, equipment, instructions and log books to maintain availability and readiness.
• Conducts daily security officer inspections to ensure that uniforms and appearance meet set standards, and to test the specific job knowledge of the Security officers, and advise the contractor to take corrective actions where necessary.
• Conducts training sessions with security officers, covering the duties contained in the post instructions, the Security Procedures Manual, and other topics as assigned by the Regional Security Operations Manager by the Head - Corporate Security
• Reviews daily security logs, incident reports and other pertinent documentation. Takes corrective action where necessary and notifies the Regional Security Operations Manager Head- corporate security of incidents and emergency situations.
• Reviews/verifies payroll for all contract Security officers on assigned shift on a weekly basis.
• Coordinates emergency response with other divisional personnel, management & local law enforcement as necessary, and responds as required.
• Completes Employee Performance Reviews for all Security officers & makes recommendations as required.
• Trains on and becomes familiar with all electronic security systems utilized where assigned, and ensures that all Security officers become proficient with same.
• Performs related work as required.
• Investigates and reports security incidents in a timely and cogent manner
