• Lead and administer all safety programs that relate to the various government agencies.
• Ensure continuity, consistency, and regulatory compliance of company-wide safety policies and procedures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of safety controls and programs as appropriate.
• Collaborate with the engineering and production groups regarding plant layouts, manufacturing process and equipment design.
• Assist in the purchase of new machines and equipment to ensure conformance to company safety policies.
• Assist in the development of the communications strategy that improves all employees' safety literacy through safety meetings, newsletters, and other forms of communications.
• Support site safety performance targets (AFR, ASR, etc.) and report performance to targets to site management.
• Provide safety leadership and technical support to the company management team.
• Coordinate emergency responses and emergency planning activities for the complex or sites.
• Surveillance and reporting on health and safety practices and systems to safety manager or authorized bodies or Head Office counterpart, whichever applicable.
• Receive the Emergency Plans related to identified emergency situation related to OHS & Environment.
• Execute/support all objectives, targets, programs action plans related to OHS and Environment.
• Document site related hazards, and significant environmental aspects and report to Quality Assurance/Top Management in order to collaborate efforts in achieving the reduction of the identified risks and significant environmental aspects.
• Promote OHS and Environmental related activities, system components, and Performance indicators.
