THE JOB
Based in Amman, under the direct responsibility of the Regional Finance Manager, and in close collaboration with the coordination team.The Regional Accounting Officer will centralize and supervise the regional accountancy. And ensure the implementation of the Head quarter standers regarding accountancy
.
Responsibilities:
• maintain the regional accounting of the programme according to internal policies and procedures,
• Responsible for importing and centralising the regional accountancy, and ensure proper codification
• Supervise and analyze accounting work to develop more efficient procedures and make recommendations
• Provide training to the new admin staff and on-going support when required
• Responsible for mid and end year accounting closures for the program.
• Ensure compliance with governmental legal requirements, including income tax and social security.
• undertake regular visits to the field offices, project sites and partners to ensure the accuracy of accounting process.
• Perform audit tasks prior to integration of all ledgers.
• Ensure proper filling accounting system.
• follow up Monthly on payable and receivables (staff and partners).
• Performs other similar duties when required.
• Supervises the work of the Accounting Assistant
