Goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
1. Attend to the endorsement process at the start and the end of each shift.
2. Communicate and perform the tasks as assigned by the head nurse.
3. Develops, discusses and communicates a realistic problem list (plan of care) for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/family/significant other in order to address all identified needs.
4. Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
5. Directs other licensed and non-licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned.
6. Performs all responsibilities/duties required by division as defined in the scope of service, to assure that the unique nature of the client is addressed. This includes, but is not limited to the age of the client served.
7. Evaluates the identified problems, care provided and patient's responses are reassessed in order to meet patient and family needs to ensure overall quality of care delivered.
8. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the health care team, in order to ensure quality care.
9. Maintains current knowledge/certification/licenses. Pursues professional growth and development.
10. Provide direct care to the patients.
