Alcon is currently seeking a District Manager based in Amman, Jordan and reporting to the Cluster Manager, Levant in the Middle East. We are looking for a highly motivated and professional team player with minimum 4 years of professional sales and managerial experience preferably from the Pharma industry.
The purpose of this job is to plan, coordinate and supervise the group to reach or exceed the territorial sales and responsible for implementation of company's strategies, objectives and marketing activities in Jordan.
Major Accountabilities:
BUSINESS RESULTS & COMPANY POLICIES:
• Ensure the use of effective human and material resources aimed at regional needs in order to achieve assigned sales and MS targets of related product groups.
• Implement and monitoring of company's strategies, objectives and marketing activities in his/her area.
• Work in coordination and effectively with other related departments, analyze and interpret the region-al sales results in order to undertake the actions that develop and maximize the business results.
• Do the necessary reporting and ensure timely completion by MRs according the company's policies and procedures.
SALES FORCE EFFECTIVENESS:
• Create an effective territory structure, evaluate it periodically and update it if necessary.
• Ensure an effective targeting and segmentation, in the region with periodic updates when necessary.
• Increase the effectiveness of MRs through continuous follow-up of number of daily visits per MR and their monthly visit and call plans.
• Control and manage DS expenses in accordance within assigned expense budget
• Visit important customers such as KOLs, pharmacies, warehouses, local authorities of official bodies as required
• Meeting and following up the orders and commercial execution with the distributors.
• Informing the distributors sales team about Alcon's priorities, and supporting in the implementation of effective commercial execution.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
• Create an environment that increases the motivation of the MRs working in the region under his/ her responsibility.
• Effective planning & controlling the MRs in accordance to GPS training. Actively use SALSA, follow up, evaluate and make the necessary changes in MR's daily activities.
• Develop pharmaceutical sales force skills & abilities, periodically follow up and evaluate MR's performance by realizing bilateral field visits, effective coaching and feedback.
• Ensure extensive medical and marketing knowledge of MRs of Alcon and competitor products.
• Ensure the positive interaction of MRs with marketing team and all other departments within the company.
