Duties & responsibilities:

• Provide the project team with the required leadership to enable the team to execute the project effectively and efficiently and should drive decision-making to the lowest level possible.
• Responsible to follow up on all teams assigned to his/her project(s) from the different technical engineering disciplines from Team Leaders level to engineers, Quantity Surveyors and finally the draftsmen. He/she should work closely with the Team Leader
• Act as the client's main contact with the Company and is responsible for maintaining an effective and professional relationship with the client. He/she should manage clients' expectations and promote their involvement throughout all projects' phases to the maximum level possible.
• Responsible for familiarizing himself with the project contract
• Responsible for developing the Project Charter for all projects assigned to him/her in coordination with key stakeholders: Project Sponsor, Marketing and Proposals Manager, Principal Engineers and Team Leaders. The project charter should be approved by the client, the Principal Project Manager and the Project Sponsor and should be endorsed by the Managing Director/Buildings.
• Responsible for defining the roles and responsibilities of team members for all projects assigned to him/her.
• Lead the project planning activities such as developing project schedule, resource planning, cost estimates, risk planning etc, and should ensure that the prepared project plan is feasible, realistic and communicated to all concerned employees. He/she is responsible for performing the final review of the project plan and determining next steps.
• Communicate the project Execution Plan and supervise the application of the Project Management Procedures Manual through ensuring that the steps and procedures documented are understood and are being applied satisfactorily during the course of the project. He/she is responsible for performing process-related mentoring to project members and resolving process-related problems.
• Perform project tracking through several weekly project review meetings and should make sure that the project plan is updated on weekly basis. He/she should report project status on weekly basis upward to MD/Buildings, Principal Project Manager, and Principal Engineers through the designated templates and to the client on project major milestones.
• Prepare, in coordination with the Principal PM and Principal Architects/Engineers, the project staffing and de-staffing plans.
• Notify the Principal PM and the Managing Director/Buildings of any re-sourcing problems, which arise during all stages of the life of the project.
• Monitor direct expenses related to the project and report possible excesses in expenses to the Principal PM and the Managing Director/Buildings.
• Oversee the flow of work among the project team members and ensure that such workflow is smooth and efficient.
• Document and maintain all key project documentations such as documents related to contractual matters, clients' approvals, etc.
• Coordinate with the Enterprise Performance Unit (EPU) for purposes of collecting invoices should a problem arise to the technical part of the contract.
• Maintain the project quality manual including the project work plan, customer complaints, and corrective actions.
• Prepare projects' progress reports; close out report and the project marketing material.
• Responsible to brief the Building Supervision Department of all projects details prior to commencing the execution of the project.
• Responsible for documenting and applying lessons learned from recent projects.
• Coordinate with the Document Controller to file the project's document according to the Document Control procedure.
• To be aware of the HSE policy.
• To be aware of risks.
• Reporting near misses, injuries, illnesses, incidents and accidents to the OD.
• And implementing related HSE procedures.
