• Support Project Coordinator with planning, managing, leadership and practical direction to develop and implement an urban host community upgrading housing and infrastructure program integrated with livelihoods and cross cutting actions.
• Monitor and manage a project team of project planning engineers, construction supervisors and community mobilizers and other technical staff so as to enable the start-up and continued progress of the urban host community intergraded housing program against set time frames and objectives.
• Develop and work in strong partnership with host communities, refugee families, local property owners, municipal and national government, local contractors, private enterprise and all actors to identify and priorities housing and infrastructure upgrading needs including community capacity building and skills training needs and present a coordinated local community focused urban host community housing program
• Identify appropriate technical actions for the urban host community housing rehabilitation program within the resources available - which includes building rehabilitations, housing upgrades, renovations and repairs, and potential community infrastructure works.
• Maintain and monitor a detailed coordinated program and construction plan for the urban host community housing/shelter program.
• Ensure that construction interventions are compatible with the relevant codes of practice, structural stability and appropriate national and international environmental and spatial standards.
• Support planning regarding material and equipment needs and monitor logistics supply and procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet the program and program schedule
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining records of all contracts, agreements and project documentation required for the NRC urban host community intergraded housing program


• In collaboration with program team members, ensure clear information about the urban host community program is available for the community and refugee population in practical presentations to facilitate positive, productive, and professional communications between host communities, displaced refugees, and all stakeholders
• Coordinate project activities with country, municipality, and community officials and members; develop and assess project design for implementation, liaise and cooperate with appropriate community authorities and departments on projects identification, preparation, implementation, evaluation and handover.
